Updated graphics
I received a new batch of sprites from Bop this week and put them into the enhanced version of the game, replacing the original single frame sprites that we had been using until now. All of the fish sprites now have hi-res overlays (a hi-res sprite over the top of a multi-color sprite) making them much sharper but requiring some careful timing in the sprite multiplexer which is used to show all of the fish.
I also added the ability to damage the fishermans boat, with the boat getting slightly lower in the water each time (see the second and third screenshot) and on the final hit the boat sinks to the bottom, ending the level. I was planning on showing the fishermans energy level on the screen somewhere, however we may let the damage to the boat show that instead now. It is better for the game to have more play area than a larger HUD.
